Blog Post #10 - Was it worth the violence? Was it worth the loss of lives in order to gain indpendence?

We think it was half and half.The reason we say yes is because we didn't have any more soldiers in our house.Also the reason we say no is because since one person just figured an idea in just a matter of time without any arguments so no people should have gotten hurt.Thomas Jefferson just made names for stuff and the other people agreed without any arguments so what was the point of all the fighting.But also yes cause a lot of people wanted to fight or what they believe in so you can't just push them away.You have to fight back basically.Otherwise you'll die.So that's our explanation.

Metaphor

The American Revolution was a big a game of chess. Everyone tried to to kill or take out the enemy. And king was the one everyone tried to protect, and follow. The kings were the one who never move. They were afraid that if they moved they would have been killed. Once someone is out of the game, they can never come back, and they are just giving the other person a bigger opportunity to win.

Dear King George,
We decided that we should have independence through the thirteen colonies.The reason is because people are having issues with the changes we all had made.Such as making prices for certain things higher to pay for the war.Also the curfews, people are having trouble following.There are also problems with the town hall meetings that people are preventing them.Other people don't feel like there money should go to the war.If you could change some of these issues then maybe we wouldn't get to many complaints.

A list of reasons why the colonists should not have the right to create a new nation.

1.Because they are just 13 conolies and they can't become a nation with just 13 colonies
2.Because they are suppose to be loyal to the king and they can't go against the king
3.Because they need imported foods and supplies from Great Britapin and if they go against Great Britain they won't get import.
4.Because if they become a different nation there will be a war and if there is war a lot of people will die
5. If they start a war just because they want their own nation it's like killing their own people in Great Britain.
6.They have no king or leader to lead them and they will fall easily
7. They will have no tea
8. If America becomes a new nation they will be leaving their families behind in Great Britain.

When a the government listen to the people and don't care about their nation. And also when the government takes the peoples rights away for no reason.
